Pupils in key stage 3 had a lot of fun at lunch today at a special Valentine's themed science club. They could take part in a variety of activities including dissecting hearts, experimenting with a colour changing love potion, discovering which metal conducts heat most effectively to melt chocolate, exploring chromatography and testing leaves for starch to work out which rose had been left in the dark.

As you can see in the gallery of photographs below, it was very popular with many of our young scientists taking part. Many thanks to the pupils in years 10 and 11 who did a fantastic job demonstrating and assisting with each activity and many thanks to Miss Keel, Teacher of Science, and the Science Department for organising and overseeing such a fun and engaging session.
