We are absolutely delighted to welcome pupils from year 5 at St Andrew’s Church of England Primary School to Archbishop Temple Church of England High School today.

They have been taking part in fun and engaging drama and singing workshops with Miss Donnelly, Head of Drama, and Miss Sherwood, Head of Performing Arts.

Taking inspiration from the popular Disney film, Lilo and Stitch, Miss Donnelly guided pupils through how to create a freeze frame or tableau to represent the setting in Hawaii. Pupils created three freeze frames before adding soundscapes and performing them in front of the class. Pupils also explored choral speaking to Hawaiian Rollercoaster Ride.

The drama workshop was followed by beautiful singing workshops with Miss Sherwood, Head of Performing Arts, before the St Andrew’s Choir and Archbishop Temple soloists run through their performances ahead of tonight’s show. It promises to be a fantastic evening of drama, music and song. Tickets are still available to purchase from our school website at the link below.
