Each Thursday, pupils have the opportunity to explore music in a different way. Music technology club, led by Mr Charlton Guitar Teacher and Cover Manager, has been very popular since its inception at the beginning of the academic year.

"Music tech club provides pupils with a way to play, create and perform music in new and innovative ways," said Mr Charlton. "We use Ableton Live and Ableton Push devices to create drum loops, bass lines and chord progressions. We look at sampling and recording live instrumentation too, before going on to learn how to complete a track by adding effects and exploring mixing and mastering techniques."

"Music tech club is great for musicians and non-musicians, and is perfect if you don’t play an instrument but have a love for music."

Music technology club is one of a number of extra-curricular opportunities offered by the music department each week.
