My story

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be an actress; I loved all aspects of performing. At Archbishop Temple, I took part in all of the school shows and I also sang with the Jazz Band. I really enjoyed any opportunity to sing, act and dance - especially music trips abroad. The Drama and Music departments at Archbishop really allowed and encouraged me to thrive in performing. I also was really keen on History and French, and maintain an interest in those still; which is quite ironic, given that my first acting job straight after leaving drama school (London School of Musical Theatre) was as ensemble/1st cover Madame Thénardier in the UK and Ireland tour of Les Miserables! I was also delighted that one of my favourite teachers, Ms Walsh, came to watch me in this - she was my house captain, and we shared a unique experience on the year 11 Indian exchange trip to New Delhi.

My advice to you: Make the most of your time and the opportunities offered to you at Archbishop, because I did and it stood me in really good stead for the future. Also, if you have a passion for something, go for it!
