We wish the Junior and Senior Concert Bands well in the National Concert Band Festival this weekend. Both bands will take part in the regional round of the festival in Oldham on Sunday 19th November.
Bands do not compete against each other, instead they are adjudicated against a set of criteria receiving a Bronze, Silver, Gold or Platinum award.
Junor Concert Band is in the Junior Band category, which has a 14 years of age limit, under the baton of Head Girl Susanna. The Senior Band will take part in the School's Wind Band category. Both bands received Gold awards last year at this stage and Junior Band went onto perform at the National Festival in Warwick, achieving a Silver award.
We wish both bands lots of luck and look forward to hearing the result next week.
