The Year 7 Boys Football Team recently went to the Rotary National Football Finals at St Georges Park after qualifying from a regional group in April. The boys travelled down in the morning and played six group games winning five and narrowly losing one against teams from all around the UK. After the group stage the team progressed through to the semi-finals and came up against a very strong team from North London and unfortunately lost. This was a magnificent achievement from the boys who have surpassed all expectations in reaching the final four in the country! After the competition the boys and their families were fortunate enough to get a tour of St Georges Park and gain an understanding of what it takes to be an international footballer.
Well done to Isaac Mabaya, Kieran Whitworth, Jack Sheridan, Charlie Atkinson, Henry Nelson, Jake Forshaw, Jacob Salim and Max Salisbury!
