Image of Congratulations to the Year 7 Boys Basketball Team!

They have had a fantastic run of results beating Broughton High School, Corpus Christie Catholic High School and Our Lady's Catholic High School in the group, then beating St Augustines Catholic High School in the quarter final. The boys found themselves in the semi final against Ormskirk School.

The boys went into the game missing a key player in James Nelson through injury and found it even tougher losing the top points scorer for the season Jake Forshaw after 3 minutes with an injury. The boys responded well and beat an extremely strong Ormskirk team by 1 point. Isaac Mabaya excelled keeping Ormskirk's best player quiet with fantastic defensive play. With little time to recover the boys went straight into the final against Park High School from Burnley. In another tight game Aaron Stanier continued to be strong in defence and Kieran Whitworth strong in attack. The boys were fantastic throughout and won by one point again to become the county champions. Congratulations to all involved. During the season over 22 boys have taken part and this shows the strength in depth in the squad.
