A series of Special Effects Make Up Workshops have also been taking place in the drama department this term. A group of ten Year 11 pupils were taught a variety of make-up techniques by Miss Keller, Head of Drama. They learned how to create visually stunning looks using stage make up. They were taught how to transform a Year 9 pupil into an elderly person, using old age make up techniques and prosthetics as well as creating some realistic looking scars, bruises and blisters.

Ellice Booth, who is studying Media Make-up as part of her degree at Salford University, very kindly brought in the prosthetics and a small group of Year 9 pupils were models. The Year 11 pupils now have the essential skills to plan and design their own stage make-up looks for their GCSE Macbeth pieces that will take place in November.
