Worship for the Week: w/c – 21.6.2021

Hustlers Playbook: Hustlers Pay for Success in Advance

Monday – Bible Reading // Year 7 Collective Worship in hall (Andy)

Intro the theme of the week - thinking about ransom, payment, servanthood of Jesus:

What’s the most amount of money you have every paid for a pair of trainers? Or a new game?

What is the most expensive sports player in the world? (Christiano Ronaldo - £93 million - 2017)

What would you give to save someone’s life?

How much would someone pay for you?

Mark 10:43–45

43 But it shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, 44 and whoever would be first among you must be slave of all. 45 For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”

Prayer

Lord Jesus, we will be every grateful for the price you paid for us. You came humbly to earth to save us and pay a price that we just can’t pay. Thank you for your servant heart, please keep this in our minds and remember how much you love us.

Amen

Tuesday – Discussion // Year 8 Collective Worship in hall (Andy)

What do you think Jesus means when he used the word ‘ransom’?

How much do you think you would pay to ransom a friend or a family member?

How do you think God paid our ransom?  Why?  Are we in debt?

Who do you think the ransom was paid to?

Prayer

Lord we thank you for today and for your loving presence.  We pray for our friends and family that you will be near to them and give your strength.  Please bless us as we seek to serve you today.  In Jesus name, Amen.
